Welcome to erruns. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the erruns mobile apps, website, and related services (together, the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use erruns.
1. Who we are & what erruns is
erruns ("erruns", "we", "us") operates a marketplace that connects people who need everyday errands and services done ("Posters") with people willing to do them ("Runners") in the cities where we operate. erruns is a neutral venue only. We do not perform errands or services, we do not employ Runners, and we are not a party to any agreement between a Poster and a Runner.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract. You may use erruns only for yourself, with accurate information that you keep current. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.
3. Independent persons, not employees
Runners are independent individuals who decide whether, when, and how to offer and perform work. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship between erruns and any user. erruns does not direct or supervise how a Runner performs an errand or service.
4. How a run works
A Poster describes a task and a budget; Runners may offer; the Poster chooses one. When a Poster chooses a Runner, a direct agreement for that specific run is formed between those two users. erruns is not a party to it. You are solely responsible for evaluating who you deal with and for the items, money, instructions, and property involved in a run.
5. Payments are cash, directly between users
erruns does not process, hold, or transmit payments. During this phase, Posters and Runners settle the agreed amount directly in cash, and erruns charges 0% commission. Budgets, prices, and any tips shown in the app are arrangements solely between the two users. You are responsible for your own taxes. We may introduce optional paid features or fees in the future, with notice and your consent where required.
6. Identity verification & badges
Some users complete in-house identity verification (a government ID and a selfie video) and may add optional credentials (e.g., NBI clearance, TESDA/PRC). A "Verified" or credential badge means we performed a basic check of the documents submitted at a point in time. It is not a guarantee of any person's identity, character, conduct, qualifications, or safety, and you must still use your own judgment. erruns does not conduct criminal background checks unless a badge expressly says so.
7. Your responsibilities
You agree to act lawfully, honestly, and safely. Posters must describe tasks accurately and request only lawful tasks. Runners must perform accepted runs with reasonable care and skill and only offer services they are competent and, where required, licensed to provide. You are responsible for complying with all laws applicable to a task, including any permits or licenses.
8. Prohibited conduct
Do not use erruns to do anything illegal, dangerous, deceptive, or harmful; to harass, threaten, defame, stalk, or discriminate; to handle weapons, illegal drugs, regulated or prohibited goods you are not licensed to handle, cash-couriering or "money muling", or adult/sexual services; to infringe others' rights; to spam, scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Platform; or to circumvent safety, verification, or fee features (including taking transactions off-platform to evade them). See our Community Guidelines. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
9. Content you submit
You keep ownership of the content you submit (profile details, photos, listings, messages, reviews). You grant erruns a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform. You represent that you have the rights to the content you submit and that it is accurate and lawful.
10. Ratings, reviews & reports
Reviews must be honest and based on genuine interactions. You may report or block other users. We may review reports and moderate content or accounts at our discretion, but we are not obligated to monitor all activity and are not responsible for user content.
11. Safety & assumption of risk
erruns facilitates real-world interactions between strangers, which carry inherent risk. You meet, transact, and share spaces with other users at your own risk. Meet in public where possible, keep communication in-app, never share OTPs, passwords, or bank details, and use the in-app Safety Center. In an emergency, contact local emergency services. You assume all risk arising from your interactions and any errand or service.
12. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that Runners or Posters are available, reliable, qualified, or that any task will be performed or performed well.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, erruns and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, property, or for any act, omission, or conduct of any user (online or in person). Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Platform will not exceed the total fees you paid to erruns in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim (which, on a 0%-commission basis, may be zero) or US$100 (or its equivalent in your local currency), whichever is greater.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless erruns and its team from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your content, your interactions or agreements with other users, or your breach of these Terms or any law.
15. Suspension & termination
You may stop using erruns and delete your account at any time from the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or to protect users or erruns. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including content license, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity) survive termination.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Platform evolves. We will revise the effective date and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or on our website. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
17. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which erruns is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that jurisdiction. None of this removes any mandatory consumer-protection or data-protection rights you may have under the laws of your own country. Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us to seek a good-faith resolution.
