Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026Effective: at launch

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information erruns collects, how and why we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under applicable data protection laws. erruns is the data controller. We collect only what we need to run an errands and services marketplace, and we do not sell your personal data.

Information you provide

When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. As you use erruns we store your profile (display name, photo, bio, services offered, neighborhood label), the errands and services you post or list, offers, bookings, messages, reviews, reports, and any photos you upload.

Verification data (sensitive)

If you choose to verify your identity or add credentials, we collect images of your government ID, a short selfie video, and any clearances or certificates you submit (e.g., NBI, TESDA, PRC). This is sensitive personal information collected with your consent and used only to verify identity and credentials. It is stored in restricted, private storage accessible only to our review team and is not shown to other users.

Location

With your permission, we use your device's precise location to show errands and runners near you, calculate distances, label your general area, and — while a run is active — share a Runner's live location with the matched Poster so they can track progress. You can turn location off in your device settings; some features will not work without it. We do not display your exact address to other users.

Device & usage data

If you enable push notifications, we store a device push token to alert you about offers, run updates, messages, and nearby errands. To keep the app stable we collect diagnostic and crash data (via Sentry) and basic in-app activity/analytics events to understand and improve how the Platform is used.

Why we use your information (lawful basis)

We process your information to: provide the Platform and the run lifecycle (necessary for the service you request); operate matching, maps, messaging, and notifications; verify identity and maintain trust and safety (reviews, reports, blocks, fraud and abuse prevention); comply with legal obligations; and improve the service (our legitimate interest, balanced against your rights). Where the law requires consent — including for sensitive verification data and precise location — we ask for it, and you may withdraw it.

How we share information

With other users: your public profile (name, photo, ratings, reviews, badges, services, general area) and, during an active run, the context needed to coordinate. Your email and exact location are not shown to other users. With service providers who process data only to run erruns on our behalf: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Google (sign-in; Maps on Android), Apple (Maps on iOS), Expo (push delivery), and Sentry (crash diagnostics). With authorities when required by law or to protect the safety, rights, or property of users, the public, or erruns. We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some of our service providers store and process data on servers located in other countries, which may be outside your country of residence. Where this happens, we take steps intended to ensure your information remains protected consistent with this policy and applicable law.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls, and private storage for verification documents. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to limit access to those who need it.

Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data, except where we must retain certain records by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to be informed about how your data is used, to access and correct it, to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing, to erasure or restriction, and to data portability. You can edit your profile, manage location and notifications in device settings, block users, and delete your account in the app, or contact us at team@erruns.com. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

erruns is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy as the Platform changes. We will revise the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or on our website.
